I miss my treadmill.ย I know the general consensus is that treadmill workouts are painstakingly boring, but having a purposeful workout will keep your mind and body engaged, propel your fitness, and make your treadmill workout fly by.

This workout utilizes 5 minutes blocks where 3 minutes are ‘speed’ and 2 minutes are recovery. ย By changing things up every 2 to 3 minutes there is no time to fall into the dreaded treadmill trance.

Make #treadmill time count with this speed scorcher! #sweatpink #runchat

The workout below is completely adaptable to your fitness level–be sure to read the tips section to determine if you are working hard enough or too hard. ย Feel free to substitute the recovery jog with a walk if you are a beginner.

Great workout Michelle. Speed work is my favorite type of training run even when it has to be done on a treadmill. Pinning ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t do much speed work right now but I like how you have this structured and it seems very doable on the treadmill. Thanks for the linkup!

Hello Michelle, I read your blog and itโ€™s fantastic. I use treadmill in my morning excises but I was not that much clear about their speed intervals and I always used a constant speed. But you have shared about their speed intervals and it is really good so I will keep in mind and do the same. Thanks ๏Š
