Friends and family are always in awe of how much water I drink a day (usually more than 64 ounces) and are trying desperately themselves to get in the habit. My biggest recommendation is to always invest in a reusable bottle that is easy to drink out of (a straw helps is go down fast) and is easy to refill.
When it comes to refilling reusable water bottles with quality filtered water, you typically have these options:
1. Refrigerator filtered water
2. Pitcher filtered water
3. Faucet mount filtered water
I received a complimentary PUR Faucet Mount Water Filter from Influenster for review purposes. All opinions are my own!
I was so excited to receive the PUR Faucet MountWater Filter because I have never had a that type of filter before. I’ve had refrigerator water filtration and I currently have the CamelBak Relay Pitcher
(which I love). So the faucet mount completes my water filtration trifecta.
The filter was extremely easy to install. I opened the box and found:
1. The filter body that attaches to your faucet
2. The actual filter that you insert
3. Attachments for your faucet
I read the directions over and over again is disbelief it would be this easy to install. The attachments are labeled A, B, C, D for different faucet sizes. They said to start with A for standard faucets (which I have) and it worked perfectly.
Next I was instructed to insert the filter into the body by unscrewing the body top and just putting the filter in. On the filter is the word ‘front’ so I made sure that faced front. I then screwed the top back on and was ready to attach it to my faucet.
Apparently it attaches with ‘one click’, so I just clicked it on and that was it! I really was in disbelief and was sure I had to have been missing something. I turned my faucet on and then turned the little black lever to switch it to the filter. The green indicator light flashed just as it was supposed to, letting me know the filter is working. I let the water run through the filter for about 5 minutes as the directions said and then gave it a try.
I stared at the glass like some mad scientist to make sure it was clear, but of course it was clear, it just went though a PUR water filter. And after giving it a taste, it was obvious this was not tap water.
I’ve now had the PUR Faucet Mount filtration system for about a week and have been using in as a compliment to my CamelBak Pitcher. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of installation and the water quality of the faucet mount, but my CamelBak Pitcher gives me nice cold water! So when I want to fill up my bottle I definitely reach for the pitcher. I’ve been using the faucet mount for filling up my single serve coffee tank or adding small amounts of water in cooking.
I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with the PUR Faucet Mount water filter!
What water filtration system do you use?
What are your best tips for drinking more water?
I used to be all about bottled water until I got pregnant then we switched to a whole home filtration system and I haven’t looked back. Filtration systems of any kind are such a great investment!!!

They definitely save so much when you’re a big water drinker…so convenient too!
Pur water filter looks good with great features. I will surely try the product and recommend it to my family and friends. Thank you.
I am using this model for a week. It works well and am satisfied.
The step-by-step installation process you described makes it sound effortless, and the noticeable difference in water quality after filtration is impressive.
