Log Roll Plank/Core Work

September 16, 2015 Michelle Homan 22 Comments

Wild Workout WednesdayWelcome to our Wild Workout Wednesday link up! Each week I link up with Annmarie from The Fit Foodie Mama, Angelena Marie from Angelena Marie: Happy, Healthy & Balanced, and Nicole at Fitful Focus to bring you workout ideas, motivation, inspiration and recipes to try. Join us for a wild workout each week by reading along or grab the button and link up if you have a fitness or healthy living post to share!

3 days post marathon…wondering what’s up next? I had crazy ideas of signing up for the Philadelphia Marathon and try to close in on the 3:40 mark I’m looking for, but we all know that’s just the runners high talking. Then part of me just wants to pack it in and eat all the things. But in reality, I’m going to meet in the middle and get back to total body strength training, with an emphasis on core, going easy on the legs this week while I’m still in recovery mode.

It’s #WildWorkoutWednesday! #Linkup with me @fitfoodiemama, @AngelenaMarie1, and @fitfulfocus!

This is a go to workout I’ve always relied on and I like to call it the Log Roll for the ground you can cover while performing it. Perfect for an outdoor session on beautiful fall day 😉

Wild Workout Wednesday Log RollI love the way this workout actually rolls around your whole body. Even if you don’t have room to roll, just rolling in place will do just fine.

Take this log roll workout outside! #sweatpink

Haha– yes, signing up for another marathon so soon is definitely the runners high talking! Although, the Philadelphia Marathon is awesome (ran it last year). This looks like a great core workout!

I am running Philly in a few weeks! Aiming to hit 3:45 and slooooowly get that BQ of 3:35…in due time though! I love the plank workout and how you make it functional. I love adding movement to plank workouts! I’m gonna have to try this!

And is it bad I always want to eat all the things, even though I’m not training for a marathon? 😉
