Typically my Wild Workout Wednesday posts are either running, CrossFit, or Paleo related, but today I’m bringing something a little different.
I want to give you a little run down of where I’m at right now, and where I’m going.
Exciting News
I’m so excited because I was interviewed for a podcast about the 50 Shades of Paleo. I loved talking about this topic with Jennifer from Wanderlust and Wellness, because this is exactly my philosophy. I can’t be strict Paleo 100% of the time–and that’s ok. Head over to this link to listen on iTunes, or on the website here…it was a great conversation and I’m hoping to inspire others to find a shade of Paleo that works for them.
CrossFit Update
I’m in my third week of the 6 week challenge and loving it. My goal going into the challenge was to simply get strong. So I didn’t weigh in or anything…I kind of wish I took note of my body fat percentage because I’d be interested to see how my composition changed. And I also regret not taking ‘before’ pictures. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to see and feel the difference though–it’s been two weeks and I already can! I’ll definitely be posting a wrap up when the challenge is over in the beginning of March. If you want to be reminded, sign up for my newsletter!
Life Update
I’ve been going to CrossFit at 6pm. That means I’m getting home around 7:15-7:30, which is bedtime for my girls. So Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are a bit later than I like, BUT like I said above–CrossFit is so worth it to me. My husband is super supportive because he went through the challenge himself and knows what a life-changer it is.
My day also starts really early with me either waking up to my alarm at 4:55am, or my little one anywhere between 5:00-5:30. I start my commute at 6am and spend my days teaching high school.
I know I’m preaching to the choir, but sometimes I feel like there is just not enough time.
Which brings me to my next update…
Blog Update
To be clear, I am not giving up on blogging! I love this blog for so many reasons…I love writing, I love the technical aspect of it, I love creating, and I love inspiring and spreading information to help others live productive, fit lives–I am going to keep doing all of that. It’s fulfilling to me.
But, after much thought, I have to say goodbye as a co-host of the Wild Workout Wednesday linkup! I love posting, but just can’t fulfill the obligation of supporting everyone with comments. I feel so guilty when I can’t make it to everyone who linked up with us–and there are so many of you!
This community is amazing and I’m so thankful for the support from my fellow bloggers over the years. I’ve been blogging seriously for almost 2 years now, and owe so much of my growth to your support.
The reason I stayed on as long as I did is because I was afraid that without the obligation, I wouldn’t post at all. But I’m at a place now where I know that I will–I have a lot to share and will continue to be there to support everyone in my blogger community.
Thanks again for all of your support! <3

I’m so happy you have found a real love for crossfit. It really is a great workout!
Sorry to hear this, but I totally get it! I have also been thinking about how there just arent enough hours in the day. Between workouts, working full time, commuting, and family, I feel like any spare time I have is spent blogging and I still fall behind more than I like. Glad you are enjoying crossfit so much!
Yes, that’s why something had to give!
Don’t be a stranger! I will still keep an eye out for you (I love your stuff) but GO AND GET THAT LIFE! And congrats on the podcast!
Thanks so much! I’ll definitely be in touch and keeping up with you all! <3

Special thanks to you for being the one to take me in! I definitely will be around…I appreciate this community so much <3
That’s awesome that you have found a love for Crossfit! Congrats on the podcast interview!
Thanks! Saying yes to the podcast was exciting for me and it turned out to be a great experience!
I once received some very valuable advice: you can do it all…but you can’t do it all at once.
You’re only human- and I feel like there is never enough time!!
Jen recently posted…Sick Toddler and Bad Habits
That’s great advice…and I believe it to be true!
Ah I totally missed your post about dialing things back. But I totally feel you, Michelle. It’s a lot to juggle. Life, kids, jobs, blogging, working out… it’s a lot. You do you!!
Thanks Rachel!
