10 Great Gifts for Runners

December 8, 2015 Michelle Homan 13 Comments

This post contains affiliate links to Amazon.com, including one for Amazon Prime. I don’t know about you, but me and Amazon are on a first name basis and Prime gets everything I need to my door fast. If you buy from these links, I receive a small amount of compensation which I use to keep fruitionfitness.com up and running!

I love writing gift guides. Not because I enjoy telling you what to buy, but because gift guides end up being my own personal wish list. This list is for the runners in your life–the ones you know well, and maybe the ones you don’t know very well. Either way, these are all great gifts for runners of every level in all facets of your life.

10 Great Gifts for Your Runner Friends! #sweatpink #fitfluential #runchat

I tried to mix it up with some running items that I already own and want to pass along my recommendations for, and also items that typically runners really want but never end up buying for themselves–those are the best kind of gifts to open up! Some of these are also new finds for me too, and if I’m good, they just might end up in my stocking 🙂

1. Stylish Compression from Bright Life Go

When Bright Life Go offered to let me sample their socks, number 1- it was almost impossible to make a decision because I wanted all the socks, and 2- I was super excited because I’m all about wearing compression socks all day long. Bright Life Go has a selection of stylish compression socks in a variety of compression levels. So you don’t have to wear your recovery socks to work, they have plenty of socks with just enough compression to keep you comfortable while you go about your everyday activities. And did I mention all the colors and patterns? Just get your friends a gift card (you can email deliver it to them!), because it’s impossible to choose just one!

They have awesome calf sleeves too!

2. Flip Belt

Ok, so I bought myself a Flip Belt a long, long time ago. It got buried deep down under all my miscellaneous running gear, and then I found it in the midst of marathon training this summer. I had just begun running with my IPhone since I was going out on longer runs by myself. I was struggling with all the traditional arm bands and was thinking there must be a better way. I slipped on the FlipBelt out of desperation and, wow. Mind. Blown. Kept my phone  and energy chews secure, and I didn’t even know it was there. Check it out here.

3. Running Books

My personal favs are Born to Run which got me so motivated to work on my natural running form. And Run Less, Run Faster which in turn guided me to follow an efficient training program. Check out my review of Run Less, Run Faster here.

4. MJ Gear 9 in 1 Balacava

This is a winter wish list item for me! First of all, I wish I was running enough in the dead of winter to need this, although I don’t think I will–but you might! I have a balacava which I’m just not that into, but this one looks amazing. Check it out if you’re a hardcore winter runner!

5. Momentum Jewerly

This summer I won a giveaway from Momentum Jewelry. My Footnotes are now forever tied to my sneakers, and I also ordered a wrap inscribed with the word ‘focus’. Check out my review here.

6. Assorted Gu’s

Know a runner friend dependent on Gu for energy? How about a box of Assorted Gu’s to make their long runs more satisfying!

7. Runner’s World Subscription

I have one magazine subscription–you guessed it, Runner’s World. It is the one magazine that delivers fresh, practical information month after month. What better gift than one that keeps on giving!

8. Trailheads Headband

Ok, here’s a pick that I definitely want/need. I never wear head gear when running (or ever) because there’s nowhere to put the massive amount of hair on my head. Trailheads has a whole line of headband ear warmers and hats that solves that exact problem!

9. Muscle Roller Stick

Here’s another running gift that keeps on giving! Forget about a one and done massage, this Muscle Roller Stick will help the runner in your life recover from muscles soreness and knots all year round. I have a cheaper version, but would love to upgrade to this one!

10. Car Stickers

It seems to me that car decals are the new tattoos for most runners. I can spot my friends all over town based on the decals that adorn their cars! Have a runner reluctant to show off their recent accomplishments? Give them the little extra nudge to show it off with some decals!

Great gift ideas! The socks look super cute – my old pair of compression socks has a hole in the toe, so I do need a replacement. Been thinking of a FlipBelt too!
