Do you pay attention to your posture? I was recently sitting in a chair waiting for a meeting, and a passerby complemented me on my posture. I thanked him and mentioned that I was actually trying to be aware of it. I was purposely tightening my core and pulling my shoulders back. You know what makes having good posture easier? Actually having a tight core and back muscles that pull the shoulders back naturally.
Having good posture can reduce pain, prevent injury, and just make you look taller and more confident. So start now and add these exercises to your routine to get powerful posture.
Exercises in the oranges boxes perform for 20-30 second holds. Exercises in the blue boxes perform for 15-20 reps (on each side for twists and rows).
I am not currently a certified personal trainer and this information is based on my personal experience and research. Always exercise at your own risk!

My chiro hubby is always yelling at me about slouching when I work on the comp! Thankfully I have a pretty strong core and back but hunching over all day is a little counterproductive!

I know! I find myself doing it all too often too. Be aware is the first step.
I have always had good posture in general, but I notice that I really have to be aware when I’m at the computer. Bad habits are easy to develop. Nice workout.

Yes, we are all guilty sometimes. Computer work will do it to you!
Great combo of exercises! I love doing side planks, palloff presses, pull-ups and supermans for back development.

Thanks! I’ll have to google palloff presses!
Posture is something I have really tried to work on the past few years. My trainer yells at me all the time but it really helps. Good tips

Yes, it’s so noticeable!
I’ve been neglecting my posture lately, so thanks for this refresher! If you have any exercises/ stretches for lower back pain I’d love to hear em 🙂

Thanks! So glad you found them helpful! I’m not a doctor or trainer, but standing forward bend is always nice on my back!
I automatically sat more upright when reading your post! I once had a therapist put KT tape across my upper back/shoulder blades so that whenever my shoulders would round/slouch forward, the tape would pull. It worked and I am more aware of it to this day!
The tape is a great idea! Glad I could contribute to everyone’s improved posture today! Lol
I keep telling myself to pay attention to my posture and 5 minutes later I’m slouching! I need to get on it!

Even when you’re fit it’s hard to remember!
I need to add these to my routine! I can be a bit of a sloucher 🙁

We all can! Thanks!!
My posture can be really bad, especially sitting at a computer! I really need to do a check every 10 minutes or so, pull my shoulders back and focus on it!!
I know, me too. My back is hurting right now!
