Marathon Taper Week
So here we are. It’s finally marathon week. The training is done and now all that’s left to do is truly, ‘trust the training’ and carefully navigate each day this week. We have been focused and consistent while training for the Long Island Marathon and this is definitely fueling our confidence as we head into race day. Marathons Here We Come!
Just signed up for two marathons: The Long Island Marathon on May 6th 2012 and (very exciting) The ING New York City Marathon! After 3 years in the lottery, this is finally our year. We've done the LI Marathon once before with s0-so results, so this year we will take all the lessons learned and (hopefully) improve. The Long Island Marathon--Our first marathon May 1, 2010 Exhilarating. Humbling. Encouraging. Painful. Mental. Perseverance. Accomplished. Our first marathon.
