This is the closest I get to baking

So, this happened.

If you want to eat clean (and you have a sweet tooth!) baking your own cookies is a necessity. Luckily, we buy bananas over here like we’re feeding a family of monkeys, and inevitably, some end up looking like a lost cause. Don’t be fooled by those mushy, brown peels! Inside is sweet goodness ready to be mashed up into a cookie more delish than any store bought box.

My creation was most definitely not my own, but inspired by others. These people are the ones providing the inspiration, and their recipes look too delicious to not share. So, I hand picked 6 recipes ranging from super simple to inspiringly unique (in that order!). They are all flourless cookies based with banana and oats.Oatmeal Cookies

3. These Cherry Power Cookies from Running to the Kitchen will make a great on the go snack. I often use cherries in my recovery smoothies, so these definitely are on my ‘to try’ list!

4. Carrot Cake Breakfast Cookies from My Whole Food Life is where I really started seeing the uniquness that can be infused into this basic recipe. And also possibly a way to get the little ones to eat carrots!

5. So these are actually Microwave Banana Oat Cakes from Averie Cooks. Is it bad that I picture this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream?

All these cookies look delicious! Thanks so much for including my recipe!!! Seeing that photo reminds me that it’s time for a reshoot with my new camera. That grainy picture doesn’t do those cookies any justice 😛
