Happy Friday! Today I’m linking up with Courtney at Eat Pray Run DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run for the Friday Five!
The mornings are just starting to get a little crispy here in New York (on Long Island to be accurate!) and that has me dreaming of the inevitable fall season right around the corner.
These are my top five favorites that make fall quite possibly the best season–ok, I might say this about every season, but it’s fall now so let’s celebrate it!
1. Running
This has to be number one, because undoubtedly (especially after this summer’s crazy heat) the fall weather is the most refreshing running time. The air is crisp and clean, the trees are beautiful, and in my case, goals are complete leaving room for laid back runs.
2. Fall Festivals
I want to go to all the fall festivals. I really think there are at least one every weekend from now until Halloween. Can’t go wrong with fun, food, music, and gorgeous fall weather.
3. Wearing Comfy Fall Clothes
My boots practically call my name every time I open my closet. And better yet, compression socks under the boots–heaven (and more on that to come!)
4. Drinking Merlot
You may not know this about me, but I’m a huge local brewery/craft beer fan. The fall definitely does not end that (not with pumpkin beer debuting soon!), but fall days bring Merlot nights for me! I miss it!
5. Game Day Festivities
These have already kicked off, but the fall weather brings homemade chili and all the other soul warming foods that go with brisk Sunday Funday Football days.
This list has me so anxiously awaiting some real fall days–sounds like fun, right?
What’s your favorite fall activities?

I would like to add the smell of apple cider. Even though I don’t drink tons of it because it isn’t always the best for you, MAN does that smell good! Ooooo and that makes me think of mulled wine. Ok, now it is 5:40 in the morning and I want alcohol. #ohgoodness
